Descripción:
Hydroxy-Dynasore is a protease inhibitor that is used for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is a water-soluble compound that inhibits the activity of enzymes in the proteolytic cascade, which leads to the degradation and clearance of amyloid beta peptides from neurons. Hydroxy-Dynasore has been shown to inhibit protease activity in neuro2a cells by binding to the active site at subunit interfaces and preventing substrate cleavage. The drug also inhibits uptake and autophagy pathways, leading to cell death. In vivo studies have shown that Hydroxy-Dynasore can reduce amyloid plaque deposition in mice with Alzheimer's disease.
