Información del producto
4-Acetylbenzoyl chloride (4ABCl) is a substrate for the P-glycoprotein (P-gp), which is an efflux pump that pumps out many types of drugs. 4ABCl binds to albumin and inhibits the activity of P-gp, thus increasing the absorption of other drugs. The binding of 4ABCl to albumin can be used to circumvent P-gp inhibition by multidrug resistance proteins. 4ABCl has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro, but not normal cells. It also binds luminescent probes, which can be used to detect the presence of cancer cells in vivo.
