• Descripción: 2,3,4,4'-Tetrahydroxybenzophenone (THBP) is a chloride that is used in the production of hydroxybenzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and carboxylate. It is obtained by recycling from the filtrate of benzoic acid. THBP can be synthesized using an acylation reaction with ethylene glycol and sodium hydrogen chloride. The optimal reaction time is between 1 and 3 hours at a temperature of 50 to 60 degrees Celsius.
