• Descripción: Isotachioside is a chemical compound that inhibits the production of melanin, which is responsible for skin pigmentation. It has been shown to inhibit the production of tyrosinase, an enzyme that is required for melanin synthesis. Isotachioside also inhibits the activity of nuclear factor kappa-light chain enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB), which regulates skin pigmentation and inflammatory responses. Isotachioside is able to inhibit the production of tyrosinase by deacetylation asperulosidic acid and propiophenone, two compounds that are found in this plant. Isotachioside can be used as a treatment for hyperpigmentation and acne, but it may cause allergic symptoms.
