Kaempferol 3-o-(6''-galloyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside is a natural product that belongs to the group of phytochemicals. It is isolated from the plant Quercus ilex and has been shown to have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Kaempferol 3-o-(6''-galloyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside has been shown to inhibit nitric oxide production in human macrophages and protect against peroxynitrite induced cell damage. It also inhibits protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) activity, which may play a role in its anti-diabetic effects.
