Descripción:Galbinic acid is a nucleophilic chemical compound that can be synthesized from the reaction of orsellinic acid and acetylcholine. It has been shown to have anti-diabetic properties, which may be due to its ability to conjugate with endogenous compounds or synthetic compounds. Galbinic acid also inhibits the production of malondialdehyde, which is a product of lipid peroxidation and causes cell death by alkylating DNA. The biosynthesis of galbinic acid in animals involves the conversion of tyrosine into 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) and then into dopaquinone. Galbinic acid is found in tissues such as the brain, heart, and liver. The kinetics of galbinic acid in animals is determined by the clearance rate constant and distribution volume.br>br>
