5-(4-Bromophenyl)pyrimidine-4,6-diol is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of endothelin receptor antagonists. It is used for the treatment of hypertension and has been shown to be an efficient antagonist of the endothelin receptor. 5-(4-Bromophenyl)pyrimidine-4,6-diol binds to the endothelin receptor and prevents activation by endothelin, which then prevents activation of other receptors in the body. This drug does not bind to other receptors and does not have any effects on lithium levels in the blood, as it has a stereospecific binding site on the endothelin receptor.
