Descripción:Albuterol Related Compound B is a potent and selective inhibitor of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. It acts by binding to the heme moiety of cytochrome c oxidase, which prevents the oxidation of molecular oxygen and the production of ATP in the electron transport chain. This compound was identified using nuclear DNA sequencing and HPLC methods in a transgenic animal model. The type strain was used for this study. Albuterol Related Compound B is stable in mouse plasma and does not inhibit metabolism or induce liver toxicity at concentrations up to 30 mg/kg. Albuterol Related Compound B has been shown to be effective against drug-resistant melanoma cells, but is not active against d. melanogaster or other insects such as Cimex lectularius or Aedes aegypti.
