Descripción:AT7867 is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) that is used in various control methods, including imaging and superimpositions. AChE is an enzyme that breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is involved in memory, learning, and muscle control. AT7867 binds to AChE and prevents it from breaking down acetylcholine. Imaging can be done by attaching a radiolabeled molecule to AT7867 such that it can be visualized by positron emission tomography or single photon emission computed tomography. Superimposition can be achieved by attaching a fluorescent molecule to AT7867 such that it can be observed under ultraviolet light.
