Descripción:LISA-101 is a peptide that can be used as a research tool for the study of receptor activation and ligand binding. LISA-101 is an inhibitor of ion channels, which are proteins that allow electrically charged particles to move in and out of cells. LISA-101 binds to receptors on the surface of cells and blocks ion channels from opening. This prevents the flow of ions across the membrane, which blocks nerve impulses, leading to a decrease in pain sensation. LISA-101 has been shown to inhibit voltage-gated sodium channels and calcium channels, both which are involved in pain perception.
