Descripción:UNBS5162 is a naphthalimide that has been shown to be dose-limiting in the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumors in mice, and also to induce apoptosis. The mechanism of action appears to be related to DNA intercalation and hydrogen bonding interactions. UNBS5162 binds selectively with double-stranded DNA, which may lead to inhibition of DNA replication and transcription. This compound has been shown to have anti-tumor activity in a variety of solid tumor models, including lymphoma cells.
