PF 04217903 mesylate also inhibits angiogenesis by inhibiting the expression of transcription factors that are involved in this process. These effects may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of erythropoietin and other proangiogenic molecules. PF 04217903 mesylate has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of vascular endothelial cells in vitro and in vivo.
