PEG3-C4-Obn is a synthetic peptide that has been shown to be an activator of the C-type natriuretic peptide receptor. PEG3-C4-Obn binds to the NRP1 receptor and activates it, leading to increased levels of cGMP in cells. This results in vasodilation, which may be due to increased nitric oxide (NO) production. PEG3-C4-Obn also inhibits the activity of ion channels such as calcium channels, sodium channels, potassium channels, and chloride channels. It can be used as a research tool for investigating protein interactions and pharmacology in vitro and in vivo.
