Descripción:6-Cyano-2-methylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid is a polymerizable, biodegradable and non-toxic monomer that belongs to the class of phenylacetic acids. It has been shown to have constant properties in microspheres and can be used as a matrix for caffeine profiling. This drug has been shown to be stable in human serum and various techniques have been developed to measure its activity against infectious diseases such as myoglobin and erythrocyte lysis. 6-Cyano-2-methylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid has also been shown to be influential on theophylline metabolism, which is an important drug for treating asthma. The high selectivity of this compound may be due to its ability to bind covalently with proteins, lipids, or other molecules present in the sample preparation process.
