Información del producto
Acetaminophen is the most common active ingredient in over-the-counter pain relievers. Toxicity studies have been conducted using rats and mice, where oral doses were administered daily for up to 18 months. Acetaminophen has been shown to be damaging to the liver in these animals, resulting in statistically significant increases in serum biochemistry levels of alkaline phosphatase, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, gamma-glutamyltransferase, and cholesterol. Acetaminophen is also toxic to the heart muscle and causes cardiac toxicity at high doses.
