Descripción:2-Methylcyclohexylamine is a potential drug for the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to have an anti-proliferative effect on cells in culture. 2-Methylcyclohexylamine reacts with nucleophilic sites on DNA, leading to cell death. 2-Methylcyclohexylamine also inhibits cell growth through inhibition of RNA synthesis and protein synthesis. It can be used as an acid catalyst or as a surface coating agent in coatings, such as cellulose acetate, amines, and nitrocellulose.
