Información del producto
Azulene-1-carboxaldehyde is a synthetic compound that reacts with the nitrogen atoms of the influenza virus and produces reactive radicals. These radicals are identified by electron spin resonance and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Azulene-1-carboxaldehyde is used in diagnostic assays to detect the presence of influenza virus. It will react with the virus, producing a color change and electron spin resonance signal that can be measured.
The redox potentials for this compound are -0.09 V (vs SHE) at pH 7.4 and -0.2 V (vs SHE) at pH 8.5, indicating that it has an oxidizing agent property in vivo test as well as oxidation products when exposed to light or metal ions such as copper or silver ions. Azulene-1-carboxaldehyde also has optical properties, including a maximum absorption at 400 nm and a molar extinction coefficient of 11700 M cm at pH 7.4 and 5000 M cm
