Sodium perchlorate monohydrate is a pharmaceutical preparation that contains copper and metal hydroxides. It is used in the treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease because it inhibits the activity of hydrogen bond, which can lead to the formation of blood clots. Sodium perchlorate also has photosynthetic activity and may be useful for controlling certain proteins. Sodium perchlorate reacts with trifluoroacetic acid to produce water vapor, which may be useful in control analysis. The chemical formula for sodium perchlorate is NaClO4. It can also react with specific antibodies, such as anhydrous sodium or ns3 protease, to inhibit protease activity.
