Descripción:17Beta-Estradiol 2-acetate is an analog of the hormone estrogen that has been shown to have anticancer properties. It induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells by binding to estrogen receptors and inhibiting protein kinases involved in tumor growth. This drug has been tested in Chinese hamster ovary cells and has been found to be a potent inhibitor of kinase activity. Additionally, 17Beta-Estradiol 2-acetate has been used in combination with the drug tolvaptan to treat urinary tract tumors. This drug is also used as a urine marker for monitoring hormone levels in humans.
