Descripción:2-(Benzyloxy)-4-methoxybenzenecarbaldehyde (BMB) is an anticancer agent that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. This compound reduces the mitochondrial membrane potential, which leads to the release of cytochrome c and loss of mitochondrial membrane potential. BMB also inhibits protein synthesis and has a strong inhibitory effect on cell proliferation. In addition, it has been shown to be effective against pancreatic cancer cells. This compound may be useful for the treatment of other cancers as well, such as breast, colon, and prostate cancer.
