- Ipomeanol
4-Ipomeanol is a covalent inhibitor of the polymerase chain reaction that binds to DNA and RNA. It has been shown to be reactive with dinucleotide phosphate (DNP) and covalently binds to biological molecules. This chemical is used in biological studies on carcinoma cell lines, as well as human serum and human cells. 4-Ipomeanol has also been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of pulmonary carcinoma cell lines.
