3,6-Dimethoxy-9H-carbazole is an organic chemical compound that is activated by reduction. It has a redox potential of about −0.24 V for the oxidation of the methoxy groups and about −0.53 V for the reduction of the carbonyl group. 3,6-Dimethoxy-9H-carbazole is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, chloroform, and dichloromethane.
