It has also been used to treat hemisulfate deficiency and is currently being studied as a potential treatment for metabolic disorders such as diabetes. 1-(Cyclopropylmethyl)piperazine is an amorphous form of the drug that can be administered orally or intravenously. This crystalline form can be administered by injection and is often given with glucose to increase absorption.
