Boehmenan is a natural product with potent anti-cancer effects. It inhibits the progression of cancer cells to malignant cells by inhibiting the Wnt signaling pathway, which is involved in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Boehmenan has been shown to inhibit the activation of β-catenin and its ability to bind to DNA. It also inhibits the activation of transcription factors such as nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB) and activator protein 1 (AP-1), which are linked to tumorigenesis. In addition, boehmenan has been shown to inhibit tyrosine phosphatases, which play an important role in cancer progression. Boehmenan also inhibits fatty acid synthase activity, leading to decreased production of prostaglandins that promote inflammation and tumor growth.
