Descripción:4-(4'-Bromophenyl)-4-hydroxypiperidine is a nucleophilic compound that is used in assays to identify the presence of amines. It is also used to study the inhibitory effect on intestinal cancer and pharmacokinetic study. 4-(4'-Bromophenyl)-4-hydroxypiperidine has been shown to act as a kinase receptor antagonist and have an inhibiting effect on heterocyclic amines, which are carcinogenic compounds formed when meat is cooked at high temperatures. This compound binds to proteins by means of its hydroxyl group, and it has been shown to be cytotoxic against mammalian cells in vitro. 4-(4'-Bromophenyl)-4-hydroxypiperidine has also been used for crystallographic studies.
