Descripción

Bacoside A3 is a natural compound that belongs to the group of bacosides. It has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and also has protective effects on brain functions by interacting with the electrochemical detector in mitochondria. This compound can be used as an experimental model for ischemia reperfusion injury in the brain. Bacoside A3 may also be useful in enhancing mitochondrial membrane potential to protect cells from oxidative stress induced by chronic oral administration of drugs that are P-gp substrates.
