Descripción:SB 225002 is an integrin antagonist that inhibits the interaction between neutrophils and cancer cells, thereby preventing cellular transformation. This drug blocks the binding of growth factor-β1 to integrin receptors on the surface of tumor cells, leading to the inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis. SB225002 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice models by blocking a receptor activity and inducing caspase-independent cell death. SB 225002 also inhibits the binding of toll-like receptors (TLRs) to ligands such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS), which leads to less production of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. SB 225002 has been shown to be effective against a number of different types of cancer cells, including breast, prostate, pancreatic, colon, lung, liver, bladder, and leukemia cells.
