Descripción:5-Phenylpiperazin-2-one (5PP) is a nitro compound that has been shown to inhibit cell function and biochemical pathways. Its effects are dose-dependent, with higher doses leading to more inhibition. 5PP has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on long-term treatment of cells with ethylene diamine. The molecular structure of 5PP contains a hydroxyl group and an alkynyl group. It has conformational properties that allow it to bind to the active site of the enzyme or receptor target, thus inhibiting its activity.
