CCT-251921 is a molecule that inhibits the activity of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) 4 and 6. It has been shown to inhibit inflammatory bowel disease in animal models, with no observed side effects. The compound also exhibits cytostatic activity against tumor cells by inhibiting β-catenin signaling. CCT-251921 has been shown to have no effect on healthy cells, but does cause cell death in cancer cells due to its ability to inhibit the transcriptional regulation of β-catenin. In addition, CCT-251921 has shown anti-inflammatory properties in clinical trials for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease.
