Descripción:(±)-ErSO is an analog of the natural compound luciferase that has shown promising anticancer properties. It works by inhibiting protein kinase activity, which is involved in the regulation of cell growth and division. In studies on human cancer cells and Chinese hamster ovary cells, (±)-ErSO has been shown to induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, leading to a reduction in tumor size. This compound has also been found in human urine and may have potential as a medicinal inhibitor of protein kinases for cancer treatment.
