Descripción:Cyclo(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-Val) is a cyclic peptide that inhibits the activity of surface glycoprotein enzymes. It has shown to be effective against malignant brain tumor cells and has anti-angiogenic effects. Cyclo(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-Val) also inhibits integrin receptor function by binding to the αVβ3 or αVβ5 integrin, which may be useful for biomarker identification. This compound is potent as an antagonist to epidermal growth factor (EGF), which may have potential use in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia.
