Quercetin 3-o-sambubioside is a chemical compound that is used in the preparation of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of flavonoids. The clinical use of Quercetin 3-o-sambubioside includes chronic bronchitis due to its ability to inhibit spasmolytic and antihistaminic activities. It also inhibits deacetyl asperulosidic acid, which is one of the major metabolites found in Asperula spp. plants. Quercetin 3-o-sambubioside has been shown to have a binding constant with meconopsis that is higher than that with other plants such as Polygonum cuspidatum or Scutellaria baicalensis, indicating a stronger interaction with this plant.
