Descripción:
1H-Benzimidazole-5-carbohydrazide is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of imidazole derivatives. It has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in PC12 cells. 1H-Benzimidazole-5-carbohydrazide has also been shown to inhibit the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Ehrlichia chaffeensis, which are causative agents of tuberculosis and human ehrlichiosis respectively. This drug has also been found to be active against hepatitis C virus (HCV) in vitro.
