• Descripción: 1-Arachidoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (AchPC) is a phospholipid that is found in high concentrations in the pancreas. AchPC has been shown to be associated with pancreatic cancer and can be used as a biomarker for diagnosis. AchPC levels have been correlated with severity of pancreatic cancer, and there is evidence that increased levels of AchPC are associated with better prognosis. The serum level of AchPC can also be used as a marker for cholangiocarcinoma. The concentration of AchPC was measured by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography in patients who had undergone surgery for pancreatic cancer, and the results were validated by logistic regression analysis.
