Información del producto
2-(Chloromethyl)benzaldehyde is a thioacetal derivative that is used in organic synthesis. The phosphate group on the aromatic ring of 2-(chloromethyl)benzaldehyde can be used to synthesize amides or phosphorylated esters. Phosphorylation of 2-(chloromethyl)benzaldehyde produces a molecule with a carbonyl group. This molecule has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity and decrease cancer cell growth, which may be due to the ability of 2-(chloromethyl)benzaldehyde to induce caspase activity. The chlorine atom in this molecule is highly reactive and will react with other molecules in a substitution reaction. The dendron on this molecule makes it useful for attaching other molecules in order to produce specific structures.
