Descripción:
Revizinone is an inhibitor of the enzyme cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase that is used to treat inflammatory bowel disease. It has been shown to reduce the frequency and severity of relapses in patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Revizinone has also been shown to have haemodynamic effects, such as reducing blood pressure and heart rate, which may be due to its inhibition of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase. The clinical relevance of these findings remains unclear. Revizinone also has anti-cancer activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the influenza virus by inhibiting viral RNA synthesis.
