L-745870 is a drug that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on monoamine neurotransmitter levels. It is currently being investigated as a potential treatment for symptoms of Parkinson's disease. L-745870 binds to the oxytocin receptor and inhibits serine protease activity, thereby reducing the production of dopamine and other monoamines. In humans, L-745870 has been shown to increase locomotor activity in doses that do not cause any adverse side effects. The effective dose for L-745870 is 10 mg/kg, and it reaches its maximal response at 60 minutes after administration. This drug also has an excellent profile with regard to pharmacokinetics and safety.
