Descripción:GMC 1-109 is a monoclonal antibody that blocks the 2-adrenergic receptor and has been shown to have antinociceptive and antihypertensive effects. It also has clinical relevance in treating hypertension and pain, as well as potential drug interactions with other drugs that act on the 2-adrenergic receptor. GMC 1-109 has been shown to have no effect on the glutamate receptor, which may be due to its lack of affinity for this receptor. GMC 1-109 binds to the 2-adrenergic receptor in a reversible manner and prevents agonist binding, thereby blocking the physiological function of this receptor. GMC 1-109 is an experimental model for future drug development for treating hypertension, pain, or drug interactions.
