4-Cyclopropylpiperidine is a medicinal compound that has shown to be efficacious for the treatment of diabetes in mice. It has been shown to activate the insulin receptor at nanomolar concentrations, which may lead to improved glucose tolerance in diabetic patients. This drug has been shown to increase blood glucose levels in db/db mice when administered orally and it also induces dose-dependent effects on blood glucose levels in vivo. 4-Cyclopropylpiperidine has also been shown to reduce blood glucose levels in vitro and its efficacy was demonstrated by an antidiabetic effect in vivo.
