Descripción:(4-Cyclohexylphenyl)methanol is a potent glutamic acid analog that has been shown to inhibit prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in the human prostate cancer cell line LNCaP. This compound has been synthesized as a lead for optimizing and optimizing PSA inhibitors. It has also been shown to inhibit membrane antigens, which may be due to substitutions at the phenyl ring. The results of this study suggest that (4-cyclohexylphenyl)methanol is a novel inhibitor of PSA, which may have therapeutic potential for the treatment of prostate cancer.
