Descripción:Spiromesifen is a chemical pesticide that is used on crops to control pests. The chronic toxicity of this compound has been studied in rats, where it was found to have no adverse effects on fertility, sperm motility, or testicular histology. Spiromesifen was also not found to be toxic to the chick embryo or the rat fetus. Sample preparation for biochemical testing includes extracting the compound from its matrix and dissolving it in an appropriate solvent. In order to measure spiromesifen concentrations, LC-MS/MS is used as the analytical method. This technique is sensitive enough to detect spiromesifen residues even after light exposure and can be applied to a variety of matrices.
