This compound exhibits liquid crystal composition and can be synthesized by the reaction of 2,4-dimethylbenzoyl chloride with 5-methylpyrimidine. It has been used in the production of photolytic materials such as fluorine. 4-Methylbenzamide has been shown to have a skeleton that is composed of two fused pyridine rings and an amide group. The impurities found in this product are mainly methyl benzoate and methyl pyridine.
