Información del producto
Human C-reactive protein is a protein that is produced by the liver in response to inflammation. It is an acute phase reactant and can be used as a biomarker for inflammatory processes. The C-reactive protein has been shown to be involved in the development of atherosclerotic lesions, and it binds to DNA and inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR) activity. C-reactive protein also inhibits the activity of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9), which can lead to plaque rupture and subsequent cardiovascular events.
