Recombinant Isocitrate Dehydrogenase is a protein that is produced by the cloning of genes into a suitable vector and then transformed into cells. The enzyme is used to convert xylitol to acetoin, which can be converted to ethanol by fermentation. Recombinant Isocitrate Dehydrogenase is used in industrial production of xylitol and in biochemical studies. This enzyme has an inhibitory effect on acid dehydrogenase, hydroxyl group, expressed, kinetic, dehydrogenase, biochemical, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), β-glucosidase and mutant enzymes. It also has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on coelicolor and genus
