1H-Pyrazol-3-amine hydrochloride (1HPA) is an osmotic therapeutic that can be used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. 1HPA is a prodrug that has been shown to activate the p38 kinase, which results in the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). 1HPA has also been shown to have a low dosage and to be active against activated kinases. The chlorine atom in 1HPA causes it to form solvates with water, which may be responsible for its osmotic properties.
