Descripción:(2E)-1-(Furan-3-yl)-4-methylpent-2-en-1-one is a natural compound that has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on HL60 cells. This compound has been found to induce cell lysis and caspase-independent cell death in HL60 cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of transcription factors such as nuclear factor kappa B (NFkB) and activator protein 1 (AP1). It also inhibits the activity of toll-like receptor 4, which is a protein that plays an important role in immune response. In addition, this compound has been shown to be able to induce apoptosis in cancerous cells by interfering with the expression of proteins related to DNA synthesis and metabolism.
