This compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of ges-1 cells, which have been shown to have a high level of resistance to apoptosis induced by chemotherapeutic drugs. 2-Phenylpropane-1-thiol may also act as a ligand for proteins, although it has not been confirmed. The diameter of this molecule is 1.69 angstroms.
