This inhibition can be reversed by increasing membrane potentials or blocking calcium channels. 18:0(2S-OH) ceramide also binds to the receptor sites of proteins such as peptides, antibodies, and other ligands.18:0(2S-OH)ceramide does not have any adverse effects on human health and is not toxic at high doses.
