Descripción:
1-Chloro-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-butanol is a synthetic compound that is used as a nitrate. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of butoconazole nitrate, which is an antifungal agent. The synthesis of 1-Chloro-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-butanol starts with the reaction of butylmagnesium chloride and 4 chlorobenzene. This reaction forms a Grignard reagent that reacts with chloride to form 1-chlorohexahydrobenzene. The most common use for this compound is in the synthesis of other chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
