Malformin C is a cyclic peptide that belongs to the genus of natural compounds. It has been shown to have cytotoxic activity against gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii, as well as some solid tumor cell lines. Malformin C contains an olefinic bond that is susceptible to oxidative cleavage, making it a prodrug for malformin A.
